Why Titrate?

What You’ll Need:
- Pipette
- Glass flask
- Thermometer (recommended: old-style for reliability)
- 1.0M or 0.1M acid solution
- Phenolphthalein colour indicator
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Collect a chemical sample and add phenolphthalein indicator.
- Slowly add the acid solution while swirling the flask until the colour change occurs.
- Measure how much acid was used and multiply by the factor in the technical data sheet to determine chemical concentration.
- Discard the titrated sample back into the hot tank or spray washer and rinse all equipment for next use.
