How to Perform Chemical Titration for
Your Apollo Hot Tank or Spray Washer

Tutorial on Chemical Titration for Parts Washers HQ

Welcome to Apollo Engineering! In this video, Toma Skroza walks you through the process of chemical titration for your Apollo Hot Tank or Spray Washer.

Chemical titration is essential to ensure the correct concentration of cleaning chemicals, allowing your machine to operate efficiently while preventing corrosion.

Performing regular titration keeps your Apollo cleaning system operating at peak performance. For more information or assistance, contact us at Apollo Engineering!

Why Titrate?

  • Ensures optimal cleaning performance
  • Protects your machine from corrosion
  • Maintains efficiency and longevity

What You’ll Need:

  • Pipette
  • Glass flask
  • Thermometer (recommended: old-style for reliability)
  • 1.0M or 0.1M acid solution
  • Phenolphthalein colour indicator

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Collect a chemical sample and add phenolphthalein indicator.
  2. Slowly add the acid solution while swirling the flask until the colour change occurs.
  3. Measure how much acid was used and multiply by the factor in the technical data sheet to determine chemical concentration.
  4. Discard the titrated sample back into the hot tank or spray washer and rinse all equipment for next use.
