Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 November 2026

Apollo Engineering Pty Ltd (ABN 57 625 091 170) owns and runs three websites: apolloengineering.com.au, apollopartswashers.com.au and biofeed.com.au. Apollo Parts Washers and Biofeed are part of Apollo Engineering. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Apollo Engineering Pty Ltd.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can see it, correct it or make a complaint.

What we collect

When you contact us or do business with us, we may collect:

  • your name, company, job title, email address, phone number, suburb and state
  • the product or service you are interested in, your message, and details of your site, equipment or project
  • what we need to quote, supply, deliver, install, service and invoice, such as delivery addresses and order history
  • your name and email address if you subscribe to one of our newsletters
  • the details in a job application, such as your resume and work history
  • records of our emails, calls and meetings with you.

When you use our websites, we and our service providers collect information about your visit, such as:

  • the pages you view, how long you stay, and how you use each page (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement)
  • how you found us, such as the search, ad or link you used, including any campaign tags in the web address
  • your device, browser, screen size, operating system and approximate location (country or region)
  • your IP address, and identifiers stored in cookies or in your browser's local storage.

Our enquiry forms also record the page you sent the form from and the pages you looked at before sending it.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information, through our websites. Please leave it out of any message.

You can browse our websites without telling us who you are. You can also contact us without giving your name, but we usually need contact details to answer an enquiry or prepare a quote.

How we collect it

Most of it comes straight from you, through our website forms, by email, by phone or in person. Some is collected automatically by our websites and the services listed below. We may also get business contact details from other people, such as a colleague who refers you, and from public or commercial business sources, such as company websites, LinkedIn and business directories.

Why we use it

We use personal information to:

  • answer enquiries and prepare quotes
  • supply, deliver, install, service and support our products and services
  • manage accounts, invoices and our business relationship with you
  • send newsletters and updates you have asked for, and information about products and services relevant to your work
  • assess job applications
  • run, protect and improve our websites, including finding where visitors get stuck and stopping spam and fraud
  • measure our advertising, and show our ads to people who have visited our websites
  • meet our legal obligations.

Analytics, advertising and session recording

Our websites use the services below. Each one uses cookies, local storage or similar technology in your browser.

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Google Analytics shows us how visitors use our websites. We may use its advertising features, including remarketing and demographics and interests reporting.

Google Ads. Conversion tracking tells us when an ad led to an enquiry. Remarketing lets Google show our ads to people who have visited our websites, on Google Search, YouTube and other websites. Google uses first-party and third-party cookies and other identifiers to do this.

Plerdy. Plerdy gives us heatmaps and session replays that show how visitors use our pages: where people click, how far they scroll and where they leave. Plerdy says its replays are rebuilt from page activity rather than filmed, that typed form entries are masked in your browser before anything is sent, and that name, email, phone, address and password fields are always masked. It also says it does not store your IP address, keeps a visitor ID in your browser's local storage, stores data in Germany, has a team in Ukraine who may access it, and respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings. Recordings are deleted automatically after a set period.

Fraud Blocker. Fraud Blocker checks visits that come from our ads for invalid activity, such as bots or repeated clicks, using details such as your IP address, device and browser. It stops our ads being shown to sources it judges invalid. Fraud Blocker is based in the United States.

Google reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam by checking for automated activity. It sends information about your device and browser to Google.

YouTube. Videos on our pages play from YouTube, which may set cookies when you watch them.

Our websites also link to other sites, such as our social media pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Your choices

  • Turn off personalised ads from Google at myadcenter.google.com.
  • Stop Google Analytics recording your visits with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings, or turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Some parts of our websites, such as forms, may not work if you block these technologies.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only when needed, with:

  • businesses that provide services to us, including our website developer and host (Foxie Web Design), our email, customer relationship management (HubSpot) and newsletter (MailPoet) systems, and the analytics, advertising and security services listed above
  • freight, installation and service partners, when needed to deliver or support what you have ordered
  • our professional advisers, such as accountants, lawyers and insurers
  • government bodies and regulators, where the law requires or allows it.

Information held overseas

Some of our service providers store or access information outside Australia. The countries involved are likely to include the United States (Google, HubSpot and Fraud Blocker), Germany (where Plerdy stores data) and Ukraine (where Plerdy's team works). Google, MailPoet and other large providers may also use data centres in other countries.

How we store and protect it

We keep personal information in our email, customer relationship management and business systems, and on our websites' servers. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, change or disclosure. Our websites use encrypted (HTTPS) connections, security software, spam protection and restricted administrator access. When we no longer need personal information for a lawful purpose, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Marketing emails

You can unsubscribe from any of our newsletters with the link at the bottom of every email, or by contacting us. Our newsletters record whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, so we can see what readers find useful.

Automated decisions

We do not use computer programs to make decisions about you that could significantly affect your rights or interests. Fraud Blocker's checks decide only whether our ads are shown to a device or network.

Seeing and correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, using the contact details below. We will need to confirm who you are first. There is no charge to make a request, and we aim to respond within 30 days. If we cannot give you access or make a correction, we will tell you why in writing.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us in writing using the details below. We will look into it and reply in writing, usually within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
